Daughtrey-StarDancer (SP)-B/X/2M/3T/P

StarDancer by Nathan Daughtrey is dedicated and inspired by the composer's 3-year-old daughter, who enjoys looking at the moon and stars and has an affinity for dance. From the opening measures of the piece, sparkling sounds permeate the ensemble with high glockenspiel, xylophone, triangle and suspended cymbal. As it evolves, the piece alternates between light-hearted, spinning dances and more raucous, foot-stomping dances.
