The bars are mounted using Demorrows soft cotton cord and a powder coated steel frame with natural finish solid oak end pieces and bar rails. I totally agree with Dr Moyer's review of the Demorrow Studio Marimba. I own a 4.3 Demorrow and am about to receive a 5.0 marimba from his workshop. Robert Paterson wrote an article, Why I Play a Demorrow Marimba. His instruments are simply the best one can get. Delivery time is a bit longer but so worth the wait! The craftmanship is so detailed and beautiful.
At this price, there simplly are no other choices for concert quality rosewood with full-range brass resonators, furniture-grade frame and consistancy in sound throughout the entire instrument. This is a high quality concert-grade marimba, we have had in our program for years. As "honduras" rosewood vanishes into non-existance, serious percucsionists, univeristy programs and professionals need to invest NOW in a concert quality 5 octave marimba. At this price, this is a steal!
