The Dragonfly Percussion Resonance Series Medium Soft Gong mallet features a soft ball shaped core covered in felt. The ¾'' thick handle is 11.5'' long, a little shorter that the other mallets in the series. This allows for a very balanced natural feel. The Medium Soft brings out the lower frequencies and allows for a slow rich blossoming of sound.
The Dragonfly Percussion Resonance Series was developed for sound therapy applications with input from Benjamin Irons and Yogi Mehtab Benton. The combination of experience and test runs have created a series that maximizes the sound potential of a wide range of gongs.

This great mallet brings out the lower and higher harmonics in all my gongs, from the 14 inch Chao to the 36 inch wind Gong. If I could only have one Mallet, this would be it. I also like the shorter handle.
