Description

The Dragonfly Soft Flannel Swizzle Sticks offer a unique playing experience with their distinctive mallet head design. Crafted from 28 layers of densely packed flannel, the mallet head produces a soft and warm tone on drums, setting them apart from traditional compressed felt cores. Additionally, these swizzle sticks create seamless and silky swells when played on cymbals.

One notable feature is the size of the flannel discs, measuring only 0.787" (20mm) in diameter, which is slightly larger than the stick itself. This compact design ensures that the mallet head does not hinder your hand and wrist movements, unlike larger mallet heads that can be cumbersome when playing with the tips of the sticks.

Concert General:

  • .630” diameter
  • Length - 16 1/8"

This swizzle stick pair is one of the WORST sets I've ever used. I have been rehearsing with it for 3 one hour sessions and it literally DE threaded to the point that its unusable. The top of the of the mallet heads has packed flannel piece shaped with a circle cut out. It is set in place by a rubber like washer that can easily fall off it if the mallet hits one wrong angle not related to parallel with the stick. My pair from the get go was not properly mounted on top as they were already barely containing the packed flannel underneath the rubber piece. The more you play with the mallet the more the flannel moves up the inner metal frame of the mallet. The overall stick is not necessarily bad to play snare drum. Its a little bit tough for the form of wood when gripping the stick, but you get used to it. Also, keep in mind when playing on a bass drum or some type of impact drum, that the flannel pieces can begin to stick to the head or slowly rip small pieces of felt off your mallet side of the swizzle. I will be asking for a refund personally. Wish I could attach pictures to show how easily they broke. Very disappointed in Dragonfly.
