Was happy to find these. Great for jazz. Thin, dry sound, that was exactly what I was looking for and a fraction of the price of other cymbals.
Amazing cymbals for the price

These cymbals are econmically priced, but they really are not budget cymbals. They are hand hammered from B20 alloy, which is considered by most to be top of the line cymbal metal.
I side by side comparison tested these cymbals against Zildjian Ks, Sabians, and Paistes. I was looking for something under $300 (let's out the Zildjians and Paistes right there) that had a nice dry sound with a warm semi-open sound. These definitely made the grade and they have a pretty solid chick as well.
The truth is, I could not believe my ears, not so much for the excellent sound on it's own, but the fact that these delivered that sound for not only under $300 but in fact under half that price. I was looking for something that would be good for a jazz situation as well as a vintage rock n roll situation. These are perfect for both.
They don't quite have the sharp stick bite that a harder metal has, but just using nylon tips seems to resolve that well enough if you need that kind of cutting sound for pop or rock. I do recommend these for jazz, blues, country or any kind of vintage (pre 1970's) rock music.
These don't have the sheer volume or cutting power that you will find in more modern style cymbals, so Metal and Punk players may not be too enthusiastic about them, but for pretty much everything else, I'd say these will please most other drummers.
