Cage-Dream arr. Anderson-V/Cro./M

Dream by John Cage arranged by Thad Anderson for solo percussion. This piece was originally written for piano, but this adaptation is scored for marimba, vibraphone, and an assortment of crotales. In this format, the somewhat simple melody becomes a lush combination of texture and color. The use of five mallets also allows for an interesting blend between the various sound types.
