This user-friendly edition of Dukas's Sorcerer's Apprentice contains the percussion/timpani score as well as the separate parts. This great edition was created by Theresa Dimond and has been tested by the percussion section of the Los Angeles Opera. Born out of necessity, Dimond has constructed a time-saving score that intended to be the "performer's edition". By standardizing notation and location of parts, this score combines several different versions of the original score.

Worth every penny! Just played the timpani part with South Dakota Symphony. The part I was given was re-barred by using a red ink pen and I wish you could see what that looked like (scraggly red line every 3 bars to show a meter of 9/8). Terrible! So much effort to just know where you are in the music, it adds a level of tension that simply isn't present when you read of the T. Dimond part. The one mistake that can be made is that when the conductor says, "3 bars before rehearsal such and such" when you are using Dimond part that means "3 beats before such and such" with her part. I only made that mistake in rehearsal once and I didn't even have to come in, so did I really make a mistake....only you and I know!
