Salomonsson-Echoes from Paris-M

Echoes From Paris by Martin Salomonsson is a four mallet solo scored for 4.6-octave marimba (with notes for adaptation for 4.3-octave marimba). The melody for this piece was created when the composer was practicing the Cello Etude No. 1 in G Major by Bach and he started to mix up his left hand mallets. The bass line formed an idea of an uneven sound from a street organ "somewhere in Paris."
