Chandigarh by Emmanuel Sejourne was commissioned by Guy Frisch, a good friend of the composer. This is a very rhythmic work that incorporates unique playing techniques to add new timbres to the piece: playing on the nodes, dead strokes, and "marimshots". An excellent new work by one of the most popular composers of marimba music in the world!
