These mallets are incredible--they cut very nicely, and they're easy to handle.
Description
Encore 92R Blue Poly Ball Mallets feature 1 1/8" polyethylene heads with Rattan Handles. Polyethylene mallets ("poly balls") sound bright on wood xylophones and are appropriate for rags and other up-tempo pieces.
The diversity of the materials and high quality construction of the Encore Unwound Series provides percussionists with many sound options for musical expression on xylophone, bells, marimba, and auxiliary percussion. Put together by the hands of skilled Encore Malletsmiths, the mallet heads of this series are made of nine different materials, including extra hard PVC, hard acetal, polyethylene, and numerious types of rubbers.

Great Mallets

The hard plastic "bright blue" balls are cool looking and help make xylophones cut. Great for rags and etc. My only complaint is that with their hardness it takes a little more work to play quietly if playing a piece with a wide dynamic range on a xylophone.
