From Encore's Juan Alamo Jazz Marimba series this is the Extra Hard mallet. This Birch handled mallet is perfect for bop or other pieces with faster tempos. The Extra Hard Mallet gives a short fast attack allowing for great note definition in fast passages. This Mallet also works great as a soprano mallet in a graduated set.
