The Hard Mallet from Encore's Nanae Mimura Heavy series is perfect for the treble mallet in a graduated set. It also serves well as a solo mallet for faster more staccato pieces. It features quality Birch handles with a nylon/ acrylic wrap over a well balanced core. The Heavy Series mallets are more weighted than the original series and have a more articulate yarn to cut through when playing with a group.
