From Encore's Nanae Mimura Heavy series this is the Medium Soft mallet. This model is perfect for the tenor or baritone mallet in a graduated set. It also serves well as a solo mallet for softer more delicate pieces. A well balanced core sits atop a quality rattan handle. The Heavy Series mallets are more weighted than the original series and have a more articulate yarn to cut through when playing with a group.
