The Soft Mallet from Encore's Nanae Mimura Heavy series is designed to function as the bass or baritone mallet in a graduated set. Perfect for the lower octaves of a marimba. It also functions as a solo mallet on delicate pieces. The Nylon/acyclic wrapped core sit atop a quality birch handle. The Heavy Series mallets are more weighted than the original series and have a more articulate yarn to cut through when playing with a group.
