The Epstein Cymbelt Attachment for Bass Drum is designed to keep cymbals securely attached to a bass drum of any width. The Cymbelt allows full side-to-side positioning thus cymbal playing and muffling is easier and more comfortable.
The Cymbelt is a necessity for Ives' Symphony No. 4, Mahler's Symphony No. 1 & 2, Stravinsky's Petrushka and The Rite of Spring.

I bought both as well and I'm giving the cheaper one to a friend. Both work with the caddy, which is helpful, but this one has a rubber connection to the drum which makes a stronger and better connection to the drum. This one is also much more substantial than the Weiss model. The negative is the cost.
Bought both this one and cheaper version. This one is beefier and worked great for a Oaxacan band. We didn't want to drill a hole on the bass drum like with other attachments and decided to go with this. We got through one gig with sones, jarabes, cumbias, corridors and rancheras. It was a bit hard to expand at first but it works great and hope it works for a long time. Shipping was fast too.
