I love the EQ pad....Made the difference for a great sound on stage...gave me back the punch I needed!
Description
The Evans EQ Pad is a highly efficient bass drum muffler that enables control over attack and sustain. The EQ Pad is designed with a hinge that allows the damping agent to jump away from the head at impact before returning to muffle sustain.
With a low profile, the EQ Pad also allows unrestricted air-flow inside the drum, enhancing volume and low end. Velcro strips allow easy attachment to any shell or on top of another pad for additional focus.

The pad has no built in weight to hold it in position. I put a sand bag on top of it and use it on the outside of the kick drum. Comes with Velcro if you put it in the drum.
