Description
The darabukka is a drum typical of Egypt, the Maghreb, and parts of the Middle East. The sound of the darabukka is muffled in the center of the drumhead, but harsh and bright at the edges. Virtuosos in Egypt create a whole range of timbres by varying the striking point "centimeter by inch" and by varying the damping and striking, often even sounding scale-like. This suite can also be played on two bongos or on a conga and tumba.
Number of Players: 1Difficulty: Grade 5
