"Level 7 Encounter" is a challenging work for beginning percussion ensemble. The limited instrumentation makes it a perfect choice for a scholastic setting where equipment is a limiting factor. The whole piece is based around Latin rhythmic concepts. The timpani voice lays down a 3/2 clave to anchor the rest of the ensemble during the faster paced parts of the work.
