Nakamura-Ganjin Way (SP)-M/TN

Ganjin Way for Marimba and Trombone by Noriko Nakamura is based on Ganjin, who was a Chinese priest who brought formal commandments (kai-ritsu) of Buddhism to Japn. Kai is an oath of the individual. Ritsu is an oath in the group. He is a high priest who was searched out spending ten years by Japanese evnoy to Tang Dynasty china's monk Eiei and Husho in China.

Ganjin spent years of 11 years, broke the laws of the country, and made a pasage for Japan five times. It was possible to make a passage for Japan in the sixth times though he lost his sight at last. At that time, he was 65 years old. He installed the admonition platform kai-dan in Todaiji Temple and Toshodai-Ji Temple, and built the institution Hiden-In for the poor, patient and orphan, in ten years. Ganjin's indomitable spirit advances on the believed road though it was difficult. It still moves alot of peoples mind's today.

Ganjin-Way was written for Shiori and Hiroshi Tanaka. It is made up of the number of Ganjin's fighting spirit's 6. You can heard the sound of Chinese language in this tune.
