Garage Drummer by James Campbell is a multiple percussion solo that is both accessible and audience friendly. This version is an expansion of the original piece that removes the original recorded accompaniment and puts a chamber percussion ensemble in its place. For six players and soloist.

Instrumentation:

Soloist - bass drum, medium toms, snare drum, bongos, cowbell, small gong, splash cymbal, crotales.

Percussion 1 - large afuche/cabasa, guiro, bar chime tree, triangle, low cowbell, rainstick, castanets, glockenspiel.

Percussion 2 - vibraphone, sleighbells, high and low woodblocks, brake drum.

Percussion 3 - 4.5 octave (low F) marimba, small afuche/cabasa, small triangle, rhythm tambourine, medium shaker, timbales.

Percussion 4 - sizzle cymbal, congas, hi hat, small shaker.

Percussion 5 - large tam tam, low medium and high suspended cymbals, temple blocks, large shaker, snare drum, kick drum with pedal.

Percussion 6 - goat hoof rattle, vibratone, chimes, medium tam tam, timpani, trashy metal (dry).
