This spectacular concerto for marimba and percussion ensemble entitled Gate to Heven is David Gillingham's Marimba Concerto #1 . This single movement work is divided into three distinct sections (Remission, Reflection, and Redemption), which programmatically follow the journey of the soul from the time of death to the entrance into heaven. All of the excitement of Gillingham's percussion ensemble works wrapped into a powerhouse marimba concerto.
