I wanted to reduce the footprint of my set by eliminating the tom mounted on a snare stand. This allows me to safely mount my 13" tom on the bass drum, without any stress on the factory provided tom holder. It is easy to attach. My only suggestion would be for Gibraltar to provide a diagram in the package on how to attach. It took a few attempts on my part, the video link on their website was very helpful. I recommend this; it is sturdy and clean looking. As usual, Steve Weiss' customer service excelled! Thank you.
