Great Idea! Who Pays? by Ted Piltzecker is a piece for percussion ensemble with steel drums. Have you ever been at a meeting where what you wanted to say was exactly the title of this piece? This melody popped into the composer's head when the question was concerned. It's a funk-like tune in D minor that has a Caribbean flair, some cool counterpoint, and a catchy line shared between vibes and pan. It's just plain fun to play and to improvise on. Scored for 8 players, duration 6 minutes.
