The Adam Grim composition, ...and the Earth Melted Into the Sun is a large percussion ensemble for 14 plus and optional bass guitar. This is about the imagery of the giant mass of the Earth cascading into the Sun and vanishing as if nothing was ever there. Pretty cool.

• Player 2: Chimes with 2 hard mallets

• Player 6: Marimba 2 (4.3 octave)
• Player 7: Bass Marimba (bottom half of the 5 octave marimba)
• Player 8: Timpani (4 drums, with an assortment of mallets)
• Player 9: Bongos and Brake Drum
• Player 10: Drum set
• Player 11: Suspended Cymbal and Wind Chimes
• Players 12 and 13: Crash Cymbals, Guiro, and Bass Drum (on one shared part)
• Player 14: Tam-tam (large) and shaker
