I have been using the 4 Mallet Primer for many years now. I find it very useful for percussionists who are just learning to use four mallets, while the students are becoming comfortable getting the mallets in their hands they can be assigned a work from the Primer. The Classical arrangements are fun and fairly short (one or two pages) and do not require advanced technique. If the musician is more advanced the book provides great sight reading material. I highly recommend it.
