The Grover Pro Tambourine Mounting Clamp is a sturdy universal tambourine clamp that will grip an 8″, 10″, or 12″ tambourine securely, yet freely enough to allow the frame and jingles to resonate fully.
Machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, the Grover Tambourine Clamp is designed to spread the clamping force evenly across a wide 4-inch length of the shell circumference. This assures that no damage will occur to your instrument, even if played vigorously. The ergonomic thumbscrew engages a rubber-covered flat spring that quickly and easily tightens and releases. The deep-milled U-channel is designed to securely and safely cradle most tambourines.
The clamp is particularly easy to use: it quickly screws onto any standard cymbal stand with an 8mm thread. This allows complete flexibility in placement and tilt angle. By mounting on a cymbal boom stand, you can increase the reach to accommodate the most intricate multi-percussion setups.

This tambourine mount is absolutely fantastic! It works well and sets the tambourine into the exact position that you need. This is a must necessity for any percussionists tool bag. It's now permanently in my bag of goodies.
After jerry-rigging tambourines on stands I finally got this and it's a game-changer. Works well, and I appreciate that the parts that touch the tambourine are covered in softer plastic material, so it won't mar. You have to tighten it hard if you'll be playing the tambourine with mallets in an extended / fortissimo passage, as the screws can work loose in those instances. Note: YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CYMBAL STAND WITH AN 8MM THREADED TOP. THIS WILL NOT FIT ON ANYTHING ELSE. I had a boom stand with a smaller threaded part, and it didn't fit. Had to buy a boom stand with the 8mm threads. This is generally standard. FYI.
I do pit work for musicals and I am always looking for ways to mount percussion instruments for easy access. I haven't use this clamp yet for a performance, but I am confident it will fill the bill. It is very well made, holds the tambourine well, and will mount to the top of a cymbal stand. This clamp, at the very least, will buy me some more trap table space.
Great gizmo, but it would be nice if the wing nut that you thread on upside down had a home on the clamp when it is not in use. Otherwise, great design and well worth the investment if you find yourself short on hands.
