I have been using Garwood Whaley's Four Mallet Fundamentals since it first came out. I love the selection of music in the book. The playing and technique of the book is left up to the teacher. The excercises provided work well with teaching basic musc theroy. I wish that the numbering of the mallets were reversed to match most other four mallet music. Beginning students leave this book with a good musical experience and a chance to play a number of well-known pieces of music.
