I thought these had feathers but they did not.
Description
The IAT 0799J Peru Maracas (sold as a pair) measure approximately 9" in total length and feature an approximately 2 1/2" shaker head. These can be used for any situation needing a smaller, more gentle sound from a pair of maracas.

Way better than the generic name brand. It is amazing that they all vary from each other. Large and some of the small have a crisp sound. They all have the same attack, easy to control my rhythms. Each set has different carved animals on the shells. Turtles, Dolphins, Parrots, and a Toucan type bird. I will buy more maracas from Steve Weiss. For now these are a super buy for a very playable instrument. My friend Orlando made me aware of the South American maracas. These Peruvian ones, sound fine with real skin drums, HAPPY,

This Jungle Maracas are really nice. The sound is bright and defined. Couldnt think of how these pair could be better (either sonically or price wise) I am a musician from Peru and actually think these are made is Peru. I got two other pairs that are similar, bought in Peru and these jungle maracas are as good as the other two.
