Description
Insomnia is a work for percussion quartet that utilizes many keyboard instruments in the quartet. The undulating rhythms of this piece set an insistent mood that is fascinating. This piece was commissioned for the Spindrift Ensemble.

Player III: Marimba (any size), Vibraphone, 4 Tom-Toms, 17” Suspended Cymbal, 1 Crotale (G#)
Player IV: Marimba (any size), Vibraphone, 2 Large Tom-Toms, 18” Suspended Cymbal
Internationally acclaimed marimbist and percussionist, Kevin Bobo is currently serving as Associate Professor of Music (Percussion) at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He has performed nationally and internationally as a solo recitalist, clinician, and orchestral percussionist. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Wichita State University where he studied with J.C. Combs and a Masters Degree from Ithaca College where he studied with Gordon Stout.
