IO by Wim Henderickx (score and parts) for brass ensemble and percussion. IO is a moon of Jupiter which has an enormous volcanic explosive quality. This work has a powerful, dynamic atmosphere, in which the utter of the instruments' possibilities are explored. This piece has three movements: agitato, misterioso, feroce.
