Description

Ney Rosauro's Japanese Overture is an excellent concerto overture work. This exciting piece uses the Japanese Children's Song Sakura-Sakura as thematic material, as well as a fragment of a theme from Brazilian composer Heitor Villa Lobos. The piece was commissioned for the 1997 Japanese Percussion Festival where it was premiered by the Tomoyuki Okada Percussion Ensemble.

The score and parts came altogether! It was great having all of the parts, because it came in handy when members of my percussion group needed other copies of the parts. The score and parts also came in a neatly fashion - the pages were folded like a book.
