Description

The JGpercussion Classic Timpani Mallets were designed in collaboration with master-craftsman Glenn F. Smith. These hickory shafts are hand-turned for perfect balance and great feel. Each pair is sewn by hand with the highest quality materials. The CL4 “Dvorak” model is made with German felt over a small cork core. This versatile stick with focused pitch is great for general playing and for solo moments in Symphonies nos. 8 and 9.

These mallets are great. I have used them for Beethoven 2 and many other pieces. They are articulate enough to play sixteenth note lines, but also very good for rolls. The cork core has a very distinct and excellent sound, and it makes it different from most other mallets. A must in anyone's mallet bag.
