Outstanding mallets! They are perfect for passages that need very clean articulation without being overly abrasive. I love this whole line of mallets. Also, David Herbert is the best in the business and an outstandingly kind person!

I love these mallets. They have served me so well for both wind ensemble and orchestra but a part of the shaft on the inside broke and now they rattle every time I use them. I wish I could afford to replace them, but I am afraid the same issue will happen again.

Not good

The wrapping is quite bad. Not tight, unmatched, and very little attention to detail. Will be contacting individual stick makers.

This line is the best of all the timpani mallets I've ever owned. Mallets are perfectly weighted; shafts are comfortable (tiny ridges in the grip area are a nice touch); felt is very high quality, not pilling after being used in a variety of repertoire. For this specific model, sound is exactly as advertised. Extremely articulate, while not sacrificing the ability to get a nice roll. Disclosure - 15 years of orchestral percussion. Marimba specialty.
