As with everything I have purchased so far that Jason Ginter makes, these mallets are of the highest quality. Oberainger and Pereira mallets sound different, of course, and I won't even try to describe the difference. Maybe the Pereira "felt" mallets have more bottom end...The Pereira videos are pretty accurate while the Oberainger videos are poor quality sound so hard to go by. Not so sure I would use these for Shostakovich 1st, though.. But then, I also like uni and some people don't.
