Good mallets as usual when you get JG! Light yet produce nice sound. Quite soft. Not all-purpose mallets,but you can use them for different repertoire.

These mallets and other JGP mallets I own myth-busted two of my long-held beliefs: 1. you need a lot of mass or weight to get a deep full sound from a mallet; 2. there is no stick or mallet that can make you play better. These mallets are light and well-balanced, yet you can get a tremendous sonority from them if needed. Because of the light-weight-to-big-sound ratio there is less effort, giving me more finesse when needed, and giving me better stick height and stick speed when I really need to pour it on.
