Description
Dream of The Cherry Blossoms is a composition by Keiko Abe based on an improvisation on the thems of the Japanese folksong "Sakura, sakura..." In this marimba solo, the world of fantasy is caught in an expanse of continuously falling cherry blossoms. In the entire piece, the tone E is centrally integrated, and it must always be played (except in the last two measures) in the same tempo. The theme of the folksong is treated several times more or less in fragments and must always be played deliberately and clearly.

Ordered sheet music for son for Solo & Ensemble

The piece was exactly what we ordered. Took about a week to ship. Arrived in pristine condition. I'd order from Steve Weiss again, for sure. The only reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 is that there was very little communication on the shipment. I don't expect an automated order picking system that ships the same day like you might get at Amazon, but I think asking a person to manually fill and ship the order in the next business day (or two) is a reasonable expectation. I ordered it on a Friday. With almost no communication and no indication of why there might be a delay, it was shipped the following Friday (7 days later), and arrived either Monday or Tuesday. All of this would have been fine if that expectation had been set.

The product is great. However, the package just arrived Saturday which is much later than was promised and the envelope was severely water damaged. Luckily, the music inside was not. Something happened during the shipping process.
