Kihle-Elementa-4T/P

Elementa depicts, in three movements, three basic states of matter with which most people are familiar.

Movement I. Metallo
This movement depicts metal. It should have an aggression and rawness to it without being sloppy. A Meinl turbo crasher is recommended for the metallic sound, but if the player has an alternative that will give a trashy sound that is still relatively short they are encouraged to substitute.

Movement II. Hydrus
This movement depicts various characteristics of water. There should be a rolling lilt throughout the movement. The soft sections should be played with extreme sensitivity, while the forte sections can depict the sometimes aggressive nature of the open sea.

Movement III. Infernum
This movement depicts fire. The china cymbal is the roar of wind and flame, so be sure that it speaks. In the third movement, o-+ means to start with the china open and close it quickly after the note is played.
