Kinetic Energy by Joa Pedro Oliveira is a duet scored for vibraphone and 5 octave marimba. This one movement work is the second place winner of the Quey Percussion Composition Contest for 2012. The complex rhythmic textures and interlocking melodic lines make this a challenging work for accomplished performers. Duration: 8 minutes.
