Lament and Soliloquy by Ginger is a four mallet solo scored for 5 octave marimba. The first movement, Maurie's Lament, is dedicated to Maurie Lishon of Frank's Drum Shop. The second movement, Soliloquy for Marimba, uses a variety of techniques including dead strokes, mixed meters, and a short chorale section.
