The Latin Percussion 14" x 2.5" Tunable Tar is the most compact and agile frame drum in the LP lineup. Designed for percussionists who need a bright, high-pitched voice, this 14-inch drum produces snappy accents and a sharp, penetrating attack. Its smaller diameter makes it incredibly lightweight and effortless to handle, rendering it a fantastic choice for multi-percussion setups, educators, and players with smaller hands.

Despite its smaller stature, this tar is built to the same exacting standards as its larger siblings. The foundation is a warm, resonant 11-ply Poplar shell paired with a highly durable synthetic drumhead. This combination ensures that your drum will maintain complete pitch stability, refusing to drop in tension even in humid or changing weather conditions.

LP has outfitted this instrument with a proprietary through-shell tuning system, keeping the hardware hidden and completely out of the way of your fingers. It features a comfortably rounded thumb slot for extended playing comfort and boasts a sophisticated black to natural fade finish. Every drum includes a custom carrying bag and a mountable Easy-Clip tuning key.
