These are great for beginners that have music programs for elementary-middle school. One stick shaft was a little thicker and a bit heavier than the other but overall play well.

These Liberty One Scholastic Series Marimba Mallets feature birch handles and a medium yarn head that is suitable for general playing. They also make great suspended cymbal mallets.
