Slick for late night practicing

Great value for money. I've used other brands of low volume cymbals and the sound of these is comparable. They have a shiny finish which is different than the others. Haven't noticed any negatives to having a shiny finish on the cymbals. With my work schedule, practice sessions either have to happen early in the morning or late at night. In either situation, my kit is in the basement and the rest of the family doesn't hear anything when I practice now.

Fantastic

Exactly what I was looking for...they feel and respond like real cymbals, but at a fraction of the volume. I bought them for a practice kit at school, and they work so well I bought a second set a week later. Best practice cymbals ever. And to be honest, I really like how the hi hats sound...might look for ways to use them in "real life". Definitely would recommend!

Perfect present for the whole family

We purchased this set for my aspiring drummer's birthday. It was the best present for our family. The cymbals sound great, they are just much, much quieter. I used to hide in a room with the door shut and noise canceling headphones during practice time. Now I can't hear the cymbals at all at the other end of the house. The price was within our budget. The actual musician says they respond well. He practices more because they actually sound much better than the drum kit cymbals he was using .
