Little-Three Sams For Percussion Solo-V/P

Three Sams by David T. Little is a three movement work for multipercussion soloist in which each movement explores a different challenge. In movement 1, a perpetual motion figure in the vibraphone is distributed among other instruments of the setup. through this process of substitution, the the single melodic line has been re-orchestrated into melody and accompaniment.
Movement 2 is about rhythm, starting strictly but ending with a cathartic burst of near-improvisation. In the third movement, each of the performer's 4 mallets is conceived as an independent voice.
