Description
Two Dickinson Settings is a work for SSAA treble choir, piano, marimba/vibraphone, and harp by composer David J. Long. The piece sets two poems by Emily Dickinson, "Heart! We will forget him!" and "Will there really be morning?", with melodious vocal parts supported by a shimmering backdrop of struck and plucked instruments. Harp may be substituted with orchestra bells. The work was written for the Mary Washington College Chorus, Spring 2001, directed by Dr. Jane Tavernier.
