The resonate body on this instrument features a New Zealand Pine stave construction which is solid pieces of the wood cut and banded together forming the shape of a whiskey barrel or Tumba but with the playing surface of a Cajon. This robust shape and rear sound port delivers rich, deep, and tight bass tones while the poplar faceplate offers defined rhythmic slaps.
