The description and picture led me to believe this was like the nice ratchet keys that work great for marching equipment. In reality it's small, weak, and didn't come with the red grip shown in the picture. Just bare metal. This is the first time I've been disappointed by an order from Steve Weiss.
Good drum key on low tension drums, but doesn't feel sturdy on high tension drums.
Well, I really like Ratchet drum keys and when i got this drum key, I wanted to use it for my marching snare. Now this drum key really isn't good for that kind of pressure but more just the set and concert type of instruments. So it is really cool, but i have to buy the High torque ratchet too so i can use it for the snares, quads and bass Marching Drums. But good buy if you need a key for concert and set.
