These were my last pair bought, so I had already developed preferences with my other nine pairs but thought I'd try these anyway just to see if they offer anything unique. More comparisons are in order, as the differences to my ears are a bit subtler than with some other custom models, but I think I'm getting smoother response across the registers and deeper resonance as well as greater sensitivity to touch. As my Marimba One marimba is still pretty new to me though, I don't know how much of that is my getting more familiar with this marimba!

These are some great mallets that have a good response in the low and high register. Rolls sound really fluid, especially in the mid register. These can make some really mellow sounds at lower dynamic levels, and can make a really striking fortissimo as well.
