The Malletech eMotion Series Soft Marimba Mallet is designed for the field. This mallet projects when needed, but with less attack for the more tender delicate parts. Malletech even included it's OT. This is Overdrive Technology. The complex construction of this series allows the player to get that overdrive of projection when needed.

They are amazing mallets, I love them. However, the softness of mallets creates low undertone which does not allow me to use them for everyday use. I would recommend them, but only if you are playing a darker piece.
