Description

The Malletech Late Night Series grants mallet players the ability to practice on their instrument delivering an extremely low volume sound. Essentially this is the practice pad for mallet players. Play with normal natural feel, mallets to bar. No covers, mutes or bar treatments needed. Perfect for warming up backstage, apartment or dorm living situations.

The LN2R is snugly wrapped with a nylon yarn delivering a soft and quiet tone with articulation.

Pretty good for apartment playing

It is actually very quiet. I finally feel comfortable playing marimba in my apartment without worrying about bothering the neighbors. (I also removed my resonators). The feel is also good. Obviously if you want to hear yourself more clearly (and don't mind others hearing) then you should get normal mallets. I'll note also that I didn't notice a real difference between the "soft" and the "super soft", but I'm also not a professional

Great but if you have the other models, dont buy

I already own the other late nite models in birch on marimba and thought these might be good on the vibes. But they sound almost the same as the other models. Save your money and just get one model (unless if you want different shaft materials). Returned.

These are perfect for what they're advertised for. You can clearly hear your tone and playing while cutting down the volume significantly. Proof came from playing for a bit and my family telling me they didn't hear anything. Highly recommended!
