Description
Dancin' at the Gates by David Mancini is a large percussion ensemble for 7 percussionists, bass (acoustic or electric) and piano. Starting in a slow section featuring mallet and piano, the piece quickly moves into a medium fast calypso section. There are opportunities for latin percussion solos in timbales, bongos, congas and drum set. Great feature for a High School ensemble. Originally commissioned for the Gates Chili H.S.
